About Tony Mauck
Tony grew up on the banks of the Ohio River in southern Indiana in a little town called Floyds Knobs.

After receiving his AA degree at Florida College in the spring 1983 and an extra semester of biblical studies, Tony began preaching full-time for the Biltmore Gardens congregation in Indianapolis, IN in the spring of 1984.

Most of Tony�s preaching has been done in the state of Texas. In 1987 and 1988, he worked in the young preacher program of the Southside church of Christ in Pasadena, TX. He met his wife of 22 years, Sheri, while in Pasadena.

Shortly after their marriage, Tony and Sheri moved to Beaumont and worked 4 years with the Dowlen Road congregation. After a short two-year stint in Louisville, KY with the Gardiner Lane church, Tony and family began a 12-year work with the Eastside congregation in Baytown. Tony and Sheri have two children: Sheli (19) and Brett (16).

After three years in Auburn, AL with the University church of Christ, Tony moved back to Texas in May of 2009 to begin work with the Decker Prairie congregation on the northwest side of Houston. He also writes occasionally for Biblical Insights, a magazine edited by Wilson Adams.

2. Search for �Spring Warrior,� we should be one of the top results for that search phrase. Our logo is an open Bible. If the search results don�t prove useful, you can manually subscribe to our feed from within iTunes. From the Advanced menu, choose �Subscribe to Podcast�� and enter the podcast feed URL (http://podpoint.net/feed/165). iTunes will subscribe you to the podcasts and begin downloading immediately.
3. Click �Subscribe.�
4. Plug in your iPod into the computer.
5. Start iTunes if it doesn�t start automatically.
6. On the left panel, about half-way down, click Device.
7. On the Tabs across the top, find and click Podcasts.
8. Ensure that you find Spring Warrior and that its selection box has a check mark in it.

In January 2009, Jeff Himmel and I recorded three Bible classes at Spring Warrior. The subject studied was 1 Thessalonians. For our purposes, the subject recorded was irrelevant. We simply wanted to share with people outside the church the ability to hear how we conduct our classes and study God�s word. We felt that this would give the listeners the ability to hear what we are about without the pressures associated with attending �cold.�

The classes used a workbooks authored by Robert Harkrider.

Spring Warrior hosts a sing night on each 5th Sunday of a month. On January 31, 2010, the sign night had a theme - prayer.

Dan Chaney organized a list of songs to sing, Scriptures to read, and occasions for prayer during the service, and then arranged for different men to lead different songs, Scripture readings, and prayers.Prayer (SpringWarrior)

Dan also prepared a Powerpoint agenda so the men would know when it was their turn to participate, and also allow the congregation to know which song to sing, verse to read, or when a prayer would be lead. The Powerpoint slides are attached.

One of my favorite blogs is the Better Bibles Blog at www.betterbibles.com. Today's article was fortuitously timely considering the fact that Spring Warrior is currently studying Hebrews. The article is entitled: "Does God let ministers go up in flames?," and it is about the passage is Hebrews 1:7, which is translated variously as follows:

KJV: Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
RSV: Who makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.
NIV: He makes his angels winds, his servants flames of fire.
TEV: God makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.
NLT: messengers swift as the wind, and servants made of flaming fire.
CEV: I change my angels into wind and my servants into flaming fire.

How to listen or subscribe to the online sermons

As you know, Spring Warrior has a website, http://springwarrior.wordpress.com/. But beginning this week, Spring Warrior began uploading audio copies of gospel meetings and sermons as well. You can access them through the normal website, or you may go to http://podpoint.net/user/165 and listen online or download and listen with Windows Media Player or iTunes.

If you are familiar with podcasting, you can also subscribe to the podcast rss feed at http://podpoint.net/feed/165 and the content will download to your podcast player, Windows Media Player, iTunes, iPod, or iPhone automatically each time a new sermon is uploaded.

So far I have uploaded two of Dan Chaney�s sermons, and I have began uploading recorded content from our gospel meetings. (Thank Jeff Himmel for making all of those cds!)

To subscribe through iTunes simply do this:
1. Go to http://podpoint.net/user/165.
2. Click the large PODCAST button.
3. Copy the web address of that destination page, http://podpoint.net/feed/165.
4. In iTunes, click the ADVANCED menu.
5. Select SUBSCRIBE TO PODCAST.
