NKJV/NLT Parallel Bible Request

My two favorite Bible translations are the NKJV and the NLT.

My dream Bible, what I long for, would be a parallel Bible that would present the NKJV in verse-by-verse dual-column format on one page and the NLT in a single-column paragraph format on the opposite page. Both in extra large print.

I find that the differences in translation philosophy and presentation of the text beneficial to a better understanding of the underlining meaning of the text.

Thomas Nelson and Tyndale House, can you help us out with this?

What is your favorite Bible translation & binding?

I have used the NKJV for 26 years. It is my preferred translation, though there are things I like about the ESV, HCSB, TNIV, and NASB as well.

Lately, however, I have been very disappointed with the binding quality of Thomas Nelson bibles.  Over the last year, I have purchased three NKJV bibles that were poorly constructed:  2 Nelson Study Bibles, and 1 giant print center column reference bible (I have had this last bible all of one week).  All three bibles have pages coming out as if they were never glued in at all ("clean as a whistle").  The pages are not tearing, ripping or fraying.  They are simply coming out.

Because Thomas Nelson is nearly the exclusive publisher of the NKJV bibles, these problems have caused me to consider a different translation in order to find a better constructed bible.

What is your favorite bible, and why?
