Pray for the unemployed and under-employed
I am praying for the growing number of brethren, friends and acquaintances who are either unemployed or under-employed.
CNN reports today that the "official," national unemployment rate rose to a 25-year high of 8.1%; that is nearly 1 out of every 10 persons. Officially, 3.3 million workers in the United States is looking for a job. This number does not include those who come off the unemployment rolls after benefits expire.
22 states have populations less than 3 million. 3.3 million people is approximately the same as the population of Alaska and Arkansas combined, or 1 city shy of the population of Connecticut.
Pray for our nation and the unemployed.
