Wordle for Philippians 1:1-4:23

I provided my class a "Wordle" (www.wordle.net) of the entire book of
Philippians. With the help of Bible Gateway (BibleGateway.com), I
printed the entire text of Philippians 1:1-4:23, copied it to a text
document, and removed all common words such as: and, for, but,
because, things, etc. I also removed all pronouns not referring to the
Godhead. I kept close to 100% of all other nouns. I believe I kept all
verbs. (In hindsight, it would have been interesting to have kept "you
" and "your" given the amount of heart-felt focus Paul placed upon the
well-being of the Philippian brethren.)

You can follow this link to see the wordle:

Please note that although this is another means of looking at the same
information, it is imperfect. There is no context beyond the number
of times an exact word appears in the text. The wordle can't
recognize the singular and plural form of words (believe and believes)
refers to the same thing, it doesn't interpret themes, and doesn't
recognize the relationship between similar words such as joy and rejoice.

It does, however, make an interesting pictorial representation of
keywords found in a text, and can be the launching point for a class
discussion.
